✅ Charley (at the top) is riding a Tall Bike — but this is an extreme version sometimes called a “Stilt Bike” or “Skycycle.”
• It’s a custom-built bike where frames are stacked vertically.
• Riders climb up using the crossbars like a ladder.
• These bikes were almost never commercially made — they were typically built by skilled hobbyists or daredevils — which perfectly fits the Steinlauf family’s style.

✅ Ruthie (below) is riding a Double-Frame Tall Bike —
• Two regular bike frames welded one on top of the other.
• Still very tall and hard to mount/dismount, but a little more “practical” than Charley’s skyscraper version.
